The Newborn Experience
An Artist By Heart Newborn session is intentionally calm and slow paced. Very little of the session is posed. I prefer to set you up where the light is best and then use prompts to help you interact with eachother. I believe this produces the most genuine images. We will block out 2 hours to meet in your home. This gives us ample time to go at baby’s pace. If we need to stop for a feeding or diaper change (or two), it’s no problem.
Are you worried that your home is not "photo ready?” Your home is loved and lived in! It's understandable to feel that way! But don't worry, you do not have to deep clean for this session. Simply tidy up the nursery, master bedroom, and living room (ex. clear off tables and counters, pick up whatever might be living on a floor that could have a better home, put away knick knacks.) When I first arrive, I will go through these rooms to open all the window dressings and check to see if anything needs to be tidied. I may also move things around a bit to get the best lighting and composition (ex. move an ottoman from the living room into the nursery).

As a boutique newborn photographer, I aim to provide families with my fullest attention. Newborn photography is luxury experience and in order to provide you the best service possible, I only accept a limited number of newborns per year. Please be sure to contact me as early in your pregnancy as possible to insure that I have availability during your baby’s birth month.

*Availiable for travel outside of the Poplar Bluff area. Locations include, but are not limited to: Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Dexter, Doniphan, Jonesboro. Contact me to discuss your specific situation. A small fee will be added for locations outside of 60 miles.
